Default AP1 rusty bracket on Rear fog light replacement

Im sprucing up an s2000 that has been offr the road for a while now. The rear fog light bracket has rusted through. Is this a common issue?

I rang honda for a quote and they said 129quid for light and bracket. I was hoping I could weld the bracket back or make up my own bracket. If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, very common. Someone posted up a neat fix the other day but I can't find it, sorry.

Here's an old, but useful thread. You can fix for a few pounds if you use Honda parts, although some (Chippo) have made their own,

Thanks for the reply. For some reason all the pics arent loading on that thread. I'm guessing an image hosting service has tightened its belt. It sounds pretty straight forward so i'll take the bumper off and see what im up against.

They work for me, and they are hosted on s2ki, so I guess you'd need to join up as a paying member if you want to see them (not sure, though).
