The art of blending in paintwork? Advice needed?
Hi Guys,
In the process of re-painting my original alloys wheels, Last night I started applying the lacquer and on one of the alloys I created a run. I initially tried to use a cloth and surface cleaner that subsequently destroyed the paint work on one face of the wheel. My question is how do I deal with this now? What I plan to do is mask then rub down the face that is effected. Prime the face then when the paint sets wet and dry then remove the masking tape, then blend the paint and lacquer in. Will this work?
Also, how do you get rid of runs, I have heard that you let the lacquer set then rub it down, then re-apply more lacquer on top?????
