ATE Super Blue or Motul 600 Brake Fluid?

Yeah you aren't wrong. Just wanted to do some research to see what was better really and go for that. Seems there isn't much in it.

Superblue has been replaced with Typ200, something to do with the blue dye being made illegal in the states. typ200 is exactly the same just amber in colour.
Ive used both blue / motul / tpe200 / halfrauds....road driving I have never noticed the slightest difference. Hard driving and the odd track session I have always used ATE, not complaints.

There are a few stories about super blue and it causing swelling on brake system seals. All i can say is that my new master cylinder cap rubber swelled up after using super blue. I went back to RBF after that.

Hi Japcrap, I've used ATE Superblue and Motul RBF 600 in my Z4MC, which is mostly a track car. The specifications would suggest that the Motul fluid would perform better but my experience is the reverse. The ATE Superblue tolerates repeated deceleration from 130+mph for tight hairpins over 20 minutes at a time. With the Motul fluid the pedal can feel spongy after 10-15 minutes under the same circumstances.
The Z4M weighs 250-300 kg more than the S2000 and mine is extensively modified. I'm also running on semi slick track tyres so the brakes have to work very hard (modified but not a BBK). Given this, I doubt you'd run into trouble with Motul RBF 600 on occasional track days.
Btw the strut brace fitted perfectly and adds a little under bonnet bling

I'm going to go for motul because opie have it and there seems to be mixed reviews for both of the fluids anyway. As long as it is better than what was in there i'll be happy.
Thanks for your input everyone.

I have the SuperBlue in my S2000 and my good friend uses the MOTUL in his EP3. We both regularly track our cars and (so far) I have had no issues with my brakes using SB, approx 1 years use, due a change soon. Currently running braided hoses, blank discs and DS2500 pads. He has a similar set up but with grooved discs and regularly finds his pedal becoming spongy during a hard lap. Wether that's down to anything other than the fluid I'm not sure. I would definitely recommend the SB, and the cost/performance equation = winner.

As mentioned by Mike. ATE have retracted ALL ATE Blue and even offering to buy back any quantities people have. There is a full document from Continental on the ATE website. As Mike said, its been replaced with TYP200.
Iv always used ATE Super Blue with no issues and will now be replacing it with TYP200.
