Default Auto A/C on demist

Can anyone point me in the direction of the method to deactivate the automatic A/C option when you select one of the two demist positions on the heater controls?

I've tried searching, but to no avail

ps. This board is one of the better ones on the internet, but the search routines are truly awful. In fact, they are the worst on any board I use. Come on S2KI! You can do much better than this!

I don't think it can be de=activated. Leastwise, I don't recall ever having seen anything posted on here which explained how it could be done.

It can, and I've posted the link before. I'm sure AE said it was going into the Tech FAQ.

Edit: Not in the main FAQ, but AE posted the link.
Here it is.

The auto air con is there for a reason. For aircon to continue to work it needs to be used regularly. So if you do disconnect remember to put the aircon on regularly.

I tried the method posted on MY04 but it didn't work. I don't mean to question the wisdom of the good lord Honda, but if I want AC on I'll press the button.
