I dont read Autocar but I do read EVO. I think the problem with EVO is that they are so in love with Scoobys and Mitsubishi EVO's that they consider everything else a poor relation. Those cars obviously have bags of torque due to their turbo's but lets face it neither are pretty, the new scooby reminds me of what Honda did with the 5th gen prelude, they took a good looking car (well reasonable in the scoobys case, the 4th gen prelude was/still is a gorgeous car) and completly ruined it.

When they tested the S2000 it was against a TT and they gave the verdict to the TT which is the only review I've ever seen where that has happened. They said the back end was too twitchy and the ride crashy on bumpy roads. They obviously missed the point of the car, the S2000 is all about precision speed and handling whereas the TT is more a posers runabout. If they took the cars on the track you can bet the result would have been very different i.e. the Autocar track comments for our car.

nah. i had an hour back-to-back in a TT, an S2000 and an exige. slightly damp, at bedford autodrome. TT was appalling. sure the back end didn't step out, but that's for the same reason it doesn't step out on a panzer tank - the power to weight ratio is about a factor 10 out. it was a totally miserable experience - the suspension was taken from a 20-year old bed and the traction control kept cutting in even on the straight bits

just to make sure it wasn't just me, i checked with the other 20 people in my session. it wasn't just me, everyone hated the TT and, suprisingly, most people preferred the s2ki to the exige....
