OEM 4 piece premium mats installation instruction
Hi everyone,
I've followed a few threads regarding the OEM 4 piece premium mats on this UK s2ki forum.
I realise some or many of you have or did have the mats on your s2k. I was wondering if anyone had the installation instruction of them.
I recently got myself a set of these mats for my RHD s2k, but didn’t know I would need to install the anchors on both driver and passenger sides.
I’m kind of confused as to where exactly I need to put the pieces in and whether they are meant to be done over the carpet or under the carpet.
So, if someone has a copy of the instruction or access to one, are you able to scan and send it to me?
If not, can you take some photos of the anchors installed so that I could get some ideas?
I did a fair amount of research to see if the instruction is available on the net but it turned out there is none.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to find the holes in the cross member under the carpets.
Do that by lining up the mats with the over brace brackets fitted and see where the screw holes go. - use a fine screw driver to check you got them right then you can make the incision required to push the blue clips into the holes in the cross member.
I presume you have the 4 little blue clips and the screws?

You do not need to secure the mats to the crossmember.
I had the mats and brackets sat over the member for over 2 years and they didn't shift whatsoever.

But then, what would one do with the 2 brackets that are already there on the driver's side?
I assume you would have to cut the carpet a bit and unscrew them off?

use a thin screwdriver to gently 'feel' for the two holes either side on the cross member beneath the carpet, use the spacing between the gaps/distance on the mats anchor points to do this, the metal brackets simply sit on top of the carpet, no cutting needed and they wont move around because the screws are in the holes...
