Default Before putting the hard top on...

I searched and searched and can't find any info on this apart from the normal de-burring/taping over the rough edges on the arms of the soft top mechanism.

So I wondered what kind of preventative measures you can take to preserve the soft top while it's down for the entire winter under the hard top?

I was planning on giving it a good clean and treating it with raggtopp. Is there anything else I can do to stop it from being torn or worn down over winter?

I always put cable ties over the clips to stop them rattling.

I just grease the seals and clean it all properly and that's it.

I do have the lizardskins on the hinges though

Cool, thanks for the help guys.

Just didn't want to destroy it as the top is in perfect condition, which is surprising considering it's an 05. Think it has possibly been replaced shortly before I got it.

I also cover the catches with a pair of (small) black socks which prevents any rattles when not in use.
