Default Benefits Of An CAI ?

Is there any benefits (power) to having an VEM V2 or K&N Gen 2 on
An S2000 or is it just for the sound ??

I was looking at the V2 kit but was thinking as I have DHL's
on my car I wouldnt be able open up the bumper side intake so
would it still get the right amount of air flow to it ?

I like the look of the K&N as you dont have to do any cutting

any help would be great cheers

I have just got a k&n and the dyno print out in the box shows an increase of 9bhp. Utter bollox to be honest. More like 1 to 2. 9 maybe with a tune but I doubt it.

I got the KandN because I didnt want to be messing around cutting parts of the car. Its also my daily and the water table round me suck so having an aem is a bad idea because of hydrolocking.

I think you would likely see an increase of no more than 2bhp without a tune. Bolt ons seem to do bugger all to the S.

HTH mate

Little actual gain but well worth it for the better growl over stock. I went K&N because of ease to install and paranoia of hydrolock as my S was a daily driver in all weathers.

Ive been reading to net more bhp with the KandN its a good idea to use a cooling plate with an ram style suckey horn thingy.

Just a thought.

Wouldn't expect the VEM or K&N to make that much power over stock.

Paying over £250 for the mere 5bhp is not worth it imo.

I'll rather do the exhaust mod.

Reckon you win more mid range than top end power but it's the throttle response you will notice most and with the AEM at least you get rid of the heat soak too, well worth it in my opinion.

Exhaust mod gets you nothing and it sounds nasty too
