It's important that you check who the parent company is for any insurance company or broker. Many of them have the same parent and will behave the same.

Just from plodding around on the interwebs, it would seem that Adrian Flux are building up quite a reputation for piss poor after-sales service

I would never use Adrian Flux again, i insured a jdm s2000 with them and paid them the full amount of £750 only to have my policy cancelled 3 months down the line. They had a issue with the security on the car, i took the car to a garage and paid £25 to check the system and sent it of to AF but they would not accept this. I an now with another company that has no problems with my security system

I was with Highway 15 months ago when I was hit, the car was repaired fine and a few months later got a cheque for my excess, but I'm still waiting for a letter from them absolving me of blame to pass on to my present insurer who have loaded the premium £55 due to an unresolved accident. The reason for this is that they(highway) have not been paid out by the third parties insurance for the repairs, not my problem I've told them in repeated calls, although I was promised action this month I'm not holding my breath.

Jdm s2000 dont come with standard security, the owner before me put the alarm and imob on, its a cobra system so i went to a garage and they gave me the model number and wrote on headed paper that it was all working at a cost of £25, i then sent this to AF. They said that its not an approved alarm so i ran uplands car radios in swansea where i have had a number of cobra systems fitted before, they said that it is insurance approved but AF still decided to cancel my policy

Again though, is that the broker or the insurer?

I've paid to go back to AF today after 2 years with Chris Knott (which was the aforementioned Highway). At least AF didn't make a big fuss about a new owners club policy, and then decide overnight to just ditch us without any real explanation. I suppose I could have chosen to pay a lot more for some other insurer, but then you can probably find bad stories about just about anybody.

Are Ak and KN not just brokers, middle men , they don't write the policies do they? surely the gripes should be with the underwriters
