Big Gay Wing
It is a scary time for me, I genuinely think I need rear downforce for track use. I will buy another boot lid to put on when Im not planning a track visit for obvious reasons!
Last time I was at croft I was exiting some of the faster corners with the back end very loose. I have a lot done to the car already and since my last track day I have acquired even more power. So Im thinking its potentially a safety item now, well almost!
With a clear run out of tower I was exciting the Jim Clark Esses at 110-120 indicated mph. At that speed I think a good spoiler could really help to stabilise the car.
Not knowing a lot about what is available and how effective different ones are I would really appreciate some advice.
Which one?
Where do I buy it from?
What have you tried/seen ?
Thanks in advance gentlemen.
(and i use that term extremely loosely)

Had a big gay wing on mine
Its still in the rafters of the garage actually as I forgot it - I had issues with the last 'buyer'.
Its a big improvement, rather than exit stability (although its bound to help at 120) the biggest gain for me was the high speed braking.
Even on the road, it was nice to have and so I left it fitted.
On oem power I got the feeling that I was 'on it' all the time and actually needed more power next.
Could be other things causing the loose end though in a transition.
I would get an expert to analyse how you drive that set first mate.
As I kept finding - there is always a faster way and its not always a technique you would think of or know
Please - this is no criticism as I dont know you and I see you are a very capable track driver by the videos.
It'sjust a case of "We dont know, what we don't know"

I had the APR GTC-200. Its adjustable and does make a big difference at higher speeds. The car felt planted over 80 MPH.
There are a couple of options:
1. APR GTC-300 - longer than the GTC200 and adjustable
2. Mugen - adjustable
3. Seibon - Mugen replica
4. Ings - adjustable

Steve was yours an APR 200 too? Supposed to be designed for 120 mph and below, which is most tracks really.
Raz, i'm looking at the J's low mount or the Ings one.
I'd like one of the J's mid mount 3D ones but all of them look foooking massive (quoted at 19cm) where the APR is quoted as 25cm but always looks far higher.
R8, APR do CFD tests on their wings. Looks wise it's function over form when it comes to wings rather than a show piece for local burger chain! I agree J's are the one to go for if possible though, it's just I do think the APR one does the job.
