Bloody car
Funny story, i love my S2000 and am happy to have it, but.
I have always been a skyline boy at heart and want to start savign for the new GTR, granted a very early one due to costs. However after putting my proposal to the wife she (as i thought she might) agreed, only if she could have the S2000 lol. Problem is i am pushing myself to buy such an expensive car and dont want the worry and costs of two sports cars, she currently owns a mk5 golf diesel which looks great and is cheap to run. I want to make sure we havwe a nice car and a decent diesel but she just wants the S2000.
Nightmare!

Its very easy.
Point out that to maintain all 3 cars is going to cost her, which means less shopping etc (whatever she likes)
Whilst stating that you were intending using the sale of the s2k to fund your new purchase (i assume its your car?!)
So the best way forward is for her to buy the s2k from you which will give you the cash you require to get your purchase.
Having said all that, if she doesnt care for the golf then your doomed, she will just tell you to sell that instead!
My missus tried this one with me when i looked at getting the s2k. Funnily enough she had it in her head that i would be quite happy giving her a 10k car for free and i was supposed to get a loan for my new car purchase on top of that. I gave her a choice, get a loan and buy it or we dont bother building the conservatory (which she really wanted too). She got a loan.

My wife hasn't driven mine yet and she likes my 4motion more than her 1.8T so she has her eye on that - now I just need to keep her out of the S2 for a little while longer......

I have the S2000, my missus has a mk1 MX5. Out sensible family 4 seater is an EP3 CTR.
Screw sensible!
If you want to cave in to her demands, run the skyline on LPG.
