Default Body kit and wheels

Hi everyone,
I am considering a new front bumper on my car, and I very much like the 04+ style front bumper on current S's, could that bumper fit exactly to my car without modification? I am also intending fitting '06 17" wheels would they also fit my 02 car without problems?

Do you have suggestions with links to pics of which front bumper I should go for if not the new honda one? Any other help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Simmo,

The wheels will go straight on, I'm pretty sure that the 04+ bumper will do too as the yanks do that a lot.

If I were you i'd get the honda front lip for your bumper though, I think it looks much nicer and more jap than the 04+ bumper.

hmmm do you mean this ? and this site doesn't appear to want any money for the product, do you know where I can get one?

There are two lips there, not sure if the links are changing so can't post the other... they do look pretty good, does anyone have one of these lips on their car so I can see what it might look like?

Thanks.

Yeah thats the one, goto your Honda dealer and get one, it won't be cheap but it'll fit properly though.

There are loads of people with them on here, have a look in the gallery

When you say go get them, from where?

Since you are offering your opinion do you have a pic of them together so I can see and then either agree or disagree with your view?

Simmo, your best bet is to do a search or look through the gallery on here, once you find one you like then find out which one it is

+04 front bumper needs a few mods.
braces under the lights
Different splash guards
part of the front brace needs reducing to prevent it damaging the 04 bumper

For my money I would fit and Amuse or ASM front end
They are a direct bolt on to the early cars and lose the washers, no plate holder and badge holes
If you want to see all the after market options there are pictures on www.bulletproofautomotive.com

Great, thanks for your opinions I appreciate your views. If I do anything at all then I prefer the OEM under lip, to me that looks very cool and in keeping with the car. Also, the 04 bumper according to Mikey is a lot of extra work so that is a no no for me. I don't particularly like the amuse stuff, but I could re-consider ... I have to think about that.

If i do this then yes I would like to lose the washers perhaps for the 5 series ones? or at the very least colour code the originals.

I would want to take off the plate holder and replace with the 3/4 size plate (not sure what the actual dimensions of plate are, or in fact how it fixes on?)
