Bonnet switch?

Bonnet switch?
I noticed t'other day my indicators no longer flash when locking/unlocking the car on the fob.
Quick search suggested a problematic bonnet/switch sensor. So I disconnected it and then tried locking, and sure enough the indicators do work when disconnected.
So, I need to replace it, but its not immediately obvious how to. Will I need to cut the old one off?? Surely not...
Also, any heads up on where to get a new one?

If you have a facelift car, the switch is built into the bonnet latch.
i believe you have to replace the full latch to do the switch, but they aren't that expensive.

I got the same problem with mine, the signal lights don't flash when I lock/unlock the car.
Coincidentally, it stopped working when I had to change the battery.
I'll look into getting a new bonnet switch - anyone know if it's hard to swap over?
Thanks all

If you haven't already sorted this out you should disconnect the bonnet catch and have a look at it.
it is very likely the sensor causing the problem is a poxy micro switch attached to the catch and held in place by aliminium rivets.
These inevitably rot away allowing the switch to move and you can reattach the switch with a zip tie.
its a 30 minute job and zero cost to fix.
