When the dealer transferred over my Honda CD multichanger from my CTR to 05 S2K they used the CTR fitting kit which meant the protective cage didn

My 02 had the CD changer mounted in the cage (sorry, no pics of it) and, as you say, it took up a huge amount of space. It was bolted to the floor on the left hand side of the boot.

With the 04, I didn't bother with the cage - my multichanger now lives in the central part of the plastic thingy inside the hollow bottom of the boot, with the cable fed through the bulkhead and along the transmission tunnel to the HU. Much better solution in terms of room and no problems with jumping either.

only picture i have it, they will need to drill a small hole into the bottom of the car to put bolt to hold it in place.

If it fits, I reckion the secret compartment is the best place. You can then change stuff without getting out of the car too.
