Bonnet painting
My S2000 lacquer has come away in the middle of the bonnet and needs attention. I’m guessing a stone chip started the process. The car never had the usually sound deadening on the bonnet underside, so I’m guessing the engine bay heat has helped speed up this process.
2 questions:
What do you think is a fair a reasonable price to get it repainted?
Would you repaint the perfectly good arches to assist with blending?
Its a Royal Navy 2005 car

if its middle you can use the bonnet to blend the colour i'd have thought.. just a bonnet, quality job i think £400 - it is aluminium so warrants care
you could get it done cheaper but tread carefully imo. i had the front end of my BM done and it was around £900, bonnet, wings, bumper. excellent though. I was quoted £2.7k by a local primo place but decided against that

Q1. The painter I use would probably be circa £300, I believe the alloy bonnet requires different prep?
Q2. It all depends on the paint finish, if the paint has faded it will likely require blending in, you may want to clean and polish the wings first to check the best condition you can get them to?

Painting or Wrapping
Hey guy's, whoever is in the midlands and thinking of getting their car sprayed, I can recommend 'The Car Clinic' all day long based on 89 Moseley Street in Solihull. Friendly, doesn't try to rip you off and the finish is faultless! I live in West Sussex, but will drive up just to get things done there. One of the best for wrapping too unlike other butchers in the industry.
Highly recommended for sure!
Sorry, I cannot upload any pictures as the car is still in 'makeover stage' with them. Will post when done!!
