Bosch Oil Filter

Bosch Oil Filter
Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway...
I bought my 'new' S from a Porsche dealer a few weeks back. They serviced it before I collected it and I noticed they used a Bosch oil filter.
I know Bosch are a generally good make, but I know certain cars don't like certain parts, so I thought I'd double check... are Bosch filters OK for the S?
Cheers,

There's always an argument about oil filters, for some reason. The thread linked above is just one of them.
Given an OEM one is available for <£15, there's little point in using anything else, unless you've engine bay space problems caused by a supercharger or somesuch.

I agree ref. cost, no issue there. but no point going to the trouble if it's not necessary, which can be easily checked with a quick S2Ki post.
Or so you'd think

I'm due to change filter imminently so might make a note of oil pressure with currently non-oem vs oem to see if there is a difference, presumably indicating flow/restrictions.
I usually go oem but the recent oil change was done when the baffle was fitted to the sump and an oem filter was not used.

I've been on here since 2011 and never seem this. I've always considered the HAMP filters to be a OE quality parts and not had any issues. I expect the main reason for the issues with aftermarket filters coming loose is down to the person installing the filter but that's a conversation for anther thread. I cant actually fit a OE sized filter on so i'm happy to continue using the HAMP shorties.
As I pointed out, the only reason not to use the OEM oneis because you might not have space for some reason.

OEM or K&N, I've used them both with zero problems, as long as there tightened properly and have an anti spin device fitted I can't see any issues. If you had a silly short one and were constantly tracking, then you would be inviting problems.
