I would suggest to download a youtube video first for us to hear the knocking noise. It might be something loose in the engine bay like the manifold heatshield or something else. This would be better i suggest before you take it to the dealer

get your full refund if it is the engine, you're well within your rights! have a good read around the forum and decide on a better year of s2k for you next car !

Asmat, I don't know if that's rotten luck - or good luck, in a way.

Honda seems to be dealing with it on a case-by-case basis. Soooo, you can either reject the car, or see what sort of warranty you are offered on the new engine.

It's a pity you didn't find this site earlier, though.
