Just pondering
If you polished all of the rest off , could you not then have the pistons plated?

Had the same issue recently, but the nearside rear sticking. We've free'd it up a few times but it will keep sticking, so today I ordered a refurbed caliper from Brakes International. Not Honda's fault, its thanks to Nissan which is amusing!

Or get new ones machined out of aluminum? Save weight at the same time

Save getting them re-plated, never seen these before but they look right up my street for when I refurb: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-S200...item35cc15e0fd

Pistons alone are $28 from US Honda

Refurb kit is $19

I think you would be better off choosing stainless steel over aluminium. There will be a reason why nobody makes aluminium pistons, and it won't be related to cost.
