Default Brake pad removal times

For any one who's interested and wants to attempt the job them selves. After jacking car up and wheel off, the time to remove caliper, pads out, clean up area and change the pads, rebuild, is about 10/15 mins per wheel. (given that you have the correct tools)

Thansk for the info.

What pad siting grease did you use? Was the grease cooked?

It's another thing on my list for possible upgrades as the standard stuff can get cooked on track days.

Brian, yes the original grease was "cooked" extremely hard, I just use the normal "copper slip" find it works well on all the pad slider/runners and a hi temp castrol grease on the slider bolts for the pad carrier.

Thanks. I think you've tested pretty much everything I wanted to know for the brakes Much appreciated!

Though I am going to take a hard look at brake ducts.

Brian or anyone in UK, I am currently in contact with a team in the USA in connection with SS brake lines and three types of brake pads, race, race endurance and hi-performance street pad for limited competition use, they also do brake ducts (carbon fiber) Any one interested please PM me.

Pads would be of interest, just putting this back to the top as I've been on holiday!

S/S lines, not a easy job to do your self?? Could be interested.
