I had never really noticed this until recently, when my brake pedal is pushed down slightly there is quite a lot of lateral play. If i rest my foot on it and try to wobble it it's solid but as soon as it is depressed slightly there is about 1cm worth or sideways movement.

is this normal?

I had a MY03 and that did it, so did the other 3 S2000's I have driven. I looked out for it because Ithought it didnt seem right but when all 4 cars id looked at did the same I convinced myself it is the norm.

Mine does it, took me 3 years to notice though.
