Bridgestone Expedia (S01's)?
Hi.
The rears on my car are Bridgestone Expedia (I didn't buy them). The codes are 245/40/ZR17 93W. (SO1PZ)
After much research I believe that these aren't the correct tyres(MY04). (I need
Bridgestone ES02JZ:
Front 205/55/89W R16
Rear 225/50/92W R16)
My question is as the tyres have around 5-6mm of tread left, how urgent is it that I need to change the tyres. Should I immediately go out and order the Bridgestones (or SO2's) or will the tyres suffice until the tread wears? (Can't find any mention of anyone else using these tyres which is usually a bad sign)
Any advice appreciated
Cheers

They're not the right ones - but then neither are the ES02JZ's to which you refer - those were OEM fitment on the factory 16" wheels for the 99-03 car.
The OEM tyre for the 04+ model is the Bridgestone RE050. Details are in the Tech FAQ stuck at the top of the main UK forum.
From memory, tyres only have 8mm or so when new, so yours are only 25% of the way through their life if they have 5-6mm left on them.

The MY04 runs on Bridestone RE050s which are supposed to give improved wet weather performance.
On the front E050MZ 215/45/R17 87W
On the Rear E050MZ 245/40/R17 91W

I guess it depends on your budget & how comfortable you feel with the existing tyres.
If you can sell them on eBay then it might be worth changing, otherwise, I guess I would wait unti they wore down (some do-nuts might help )
