Yes but my rear S02's have 4-5mm on them. Had the S for coming up to 3 years now with SO2S.

I loved my S02s at sub 3mm

I didn`t travel much on them (I didn't travel much at all )

But exiting junctions was a blast

I had a motorway moment with standing water when sub 3mm, the rest of the journey was conducted below the national speed limit!

I have recently been inspired to finally change mine as a result !

Are these the correct type? (MY99)

Thank you, Dom!

I've always maintained an S will drift hilariously through a corner that an Elise will stick to. It's cracking fun. Nice to know that hasn't been lost.

Are you on the 'recommended' 16" RE050As (as I suspect!) or the 17" RE050s, for the sake of clarity?

PS - The brakes do come back once cooled, but a spare set of rear pads is recommended!
Yep Im on the 16's and the brakes went after a couple of laps then came back for the next 18 nicely. Was probably hammering them a little too much though as I was generally out breaking the Elises - damn good fun though!!!

If you are worried about standing water I'd try Toyo Proxy T1R's. If anyone made the jaunt to Le Mans this year they will appreciate how wet roads can get - the T1Rs were solid as a rock. On that note travelling at anything above 60mph with the top down really does stop water entering the cockpit. Must have done best part of 100miles in the rain with only a slightly damp arm where water had crept over the top of the drivers window. It was funny as other cars were filming us!!
