If you measure the tread width, you will find it's 225mm, not 240mm.

It is therefore not the tyre for the car.

Might as well have put Barums on it.

I have photo's of an S2000 rear and a 968 rear side by side, I really wouldn't think twice about it, get them changed NOW !!

Think this was one of the factors in my accident in the wet.

Sorted!
I spoke to the Ayr branch today and the guy seemed very hesitant, and would've blown me out had I not pursued it. I asked him to get in touch with the head office and find out what the procedure was for returning them.
I then contacted the head office myself and explained the matter to them, and the guy didn't seem surprised. I've now been informed the ES02JZ's are waiting at the Carmunnock branch (at my request), so I can get them fitted on the way home.

Thanks to all for the input.

I don't have any photo's but when I changed from 245 S03's to 225 ES02's, I put one of each fitted on the rims against each other and the road contact width was the same. This was despite the S03 tyre being a 245! A non ES02 tyre, even if it is an S02, will be about 1" narrower were it touchs the road and will give you more oversteer and a less stable car.
