i did, but i'd need some generous soul to lend me a pair to copy and ideally the same generous person to try the prototypes i make.

From the pictures i've seen, they're complicated brackets so i'd not be willing to even try unless i could get my hands on a pair.
Rich I'll send you mine in a few weeks time if you like.

Yep - its actually a complex part to make given the manner in which the spikes sit and lock into the catcher.

Have just bought an OEM hardtop myself, thankfully haven't been spotted as its Imola Orange on a Silverstone (planning to wrap it carbon-fibre)

- bought home with a variant on the bungee method - ratchets, with the stand in the boot, worked a treat. Now looking at fitting kits and have stumbled across the firm below. They are a bolt on solution that removes the rear spikes. But at 20% the cost of the OEM, I am tempted in a set - has anyone any experience with them???

has there been any joy or progress made on these,

im amazed at the amount of people capable on here with a cnc package and a milling machine that these havent already been made, the car has been out for 11 years and no-body done any yet?

if i could get hold of a set i could get a designer at work to draw me up one, apart from one having wires are they identical left and right hand side?

I know of someone who has made some, they are a direct copy and high quality so dont come as cheap as some speculations.

he prices them at around £300 for a set so a saving from the second hand market, but not as cheap as people are saying on here.

Im going to get myself a set from him, and sell my OEM ones.

made from a quality material with all the time it will take for machining i would expect to pay £2-300 for a set
people expecting to pay £50-100 are dreaming as they wont be a mass produced item and that would barely cover material and labour costs.

id pay £2-300 for a set as that still cheaper then second hand honda ones.

how much does the witing for the heated rear screen cost tho?
