mohitos S2000 ownership blog
Evening all, New to the forum and would really appreciate some buying advice. I have seen a really lovely S2007 this evening that I have provisionally agreed to buy. It's 2007 car, 13k miles and one owner. Black with brown leather interior. I watched a youtube video before viewing, telling me what to look out for, One of the items on the checklist was to check for VIN stickers on the inside of both front wings, on the front bumper, on the rear PU etc etc. I couldn't find any. The car seems very straight, original bolts on the wings and no signs of them having been off. Could you let me know whether those VIN stickers should be there, or whether this is what to expect on a 2007 car? Many thanks and I look forward to being a member of this community! |
There are no VIN stickers on UK cars, so don't worry about it.

Very reassuring! Deposit now paid :drive:
Where's the best place to ask questions about OEM parts etc on UK cars? I have questions about brakes and tyres but don't want to bother the other regions as the specs might be different. |
Welcome and you're in the right place for UK spec advice - there's a sticky thread in the top of the UK sub-forum that should get you going on brakes and tyres https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...t-etc-1085229/
Also the search within the UK sub-forum will give you the answers you're after as, no doubt, it will have been asked before ! |

There are no VIN stickers on UK cars, so don't worry about it. Tire companies market different tires in various markets for their own reasons. The darling tire in North America may not be available in the UK for example but there are plenty of good tires available. Summer tires (so called only because they're not winter tires) offer the best handling but there are subcategories of these ranging from Extreme Performance, thru Max, down to Ultimate. Yep, Ultimate Performance Summer tires are third tier. And there are, of course, brand and tread differences with every tire company offering the best tire. :) And tire technology is not stagnant. I ran three sets of Extreme Performance Summer tires but tired of the road noise so I dropped down to Max Performance and can't detect any handling difference. Quieter though. -- Chuck |
Dont see many with a brown interior. If its the dark brown i think they are really nice. Welcome to the forum
