Where's the best place to ask questions about OEM parts etc on UK cars? I have questions about brakes and tyres but don't want to bother the other regions as the specs might be different.

As Ben said look at the forum favourites and FAQ's. I've recently had to change tyres and had to lose the Bridgestones, I went with Michelin Pilot Sport 4, they are as close to the Bridgestones as you can get, they need to have very stiff sidewalls. Don't compromise on tyres, they have a major effect on the handling of the S2000, with cheepo's often referred to as ditch finders and for good reason.

Tire companies market different tires in various markets for their own reasons. The darling tire in North America may not be available in the UK for example but there are plenty of good tires available. Summer tires (so called only because they're not winter tires) offer the best handling but there are subcategories of these ranging from Extreme Performance, thru Max, down to Ultimate. Yep, Ultimate Performance Summer tires are third tier. And there are, of course, brand and tread differences with every tire company offering the best tire. :) And tire technology is not stagnant. I ran three sets of Extreme Performance Summer tires but tired of the road noise so I dropped down to Max Performance and can't detect any handling difference. Quieter though.
