Looks good

Glad I'm not the only one mad enough to remove seats to hoover

Do those mats still move? Mine love the front bumper so move toward it over time

Annoying

Started work on the hood. With low miles and a garaged life, the hood should be great. But it’s never been cleaned and was very grubby. I used an entire bottle of Renovo vinyl cleaner and now it’s dry I still see a few small dirty / mould marks. I’ve ordered another bottle and will try to eliminate these before using their sealant. Hoping the sealant improves some of the faded appearance. I can’t think of any reason it should look so faded given the circumstance. What are people’s experiences with maintaining the roof? I also read that 303 was well rated.

I'll let you know once I’ve driven it! Hard to see how they could move forward given how they’re anchored.

Patina has has never been my thing. Do I buy new, or restore? What's the path best trodden?

Looks like someone has "restored" that knob already and stripped off the leather when the sanded the ali (it comes lacquered and it scratches over time), judging from the type of work you're doing so far I think a new OEM would be the only way that would suit you (rather than going Skunk2 or such)

Seems the OEM knob is on back order until May next year, at which point it’ll be £200+!

I’ve ordered an OEM titanium knob instead. Hopefully it’ll prove more durable than the existing one.

My OCD got the better of me too, I had to remove the mats, mask around the metal 'badges' to paint them matt-black blending in with the material, I doubt anyone even notices them....but I do, every time I get in the damn thing! ;-)

Delighted with the roof which, after many hours, has come up as new. Two full bottles of Renovo vinyl cleaner followed by two coats of Renovo vinyl sealant.

Next challenge has been the significant calcium deposits in all of the boot and bonnet shuts. I’ve never seen anything like it, made worse by being on black paintwork. Two bottles of white wine vinegar later I’m starting to get on top of it. More to do but it’s looking much more presentable.

Kind of wish you hadn’t mentioned that
