I thought 350Z and Z4 until I drove them both on extended testdrives. I still love looking at the 350Z but couldn't wait to give it back (I gave it back 1 day early) and love my S.
FWIW it doesn't cost me to change cars since its a company car which makes the change much easier to bear.
Don't really understand why it is different for someone changing from a MY99-00 to a MY04 than a MY01-03 changing to an MY04+??? The MY99-03 are virtually the same apart from minor suspension tweaks.

I'm girding my loins and starting to semi-seriously consider Trev-dom. I was browsing some of the "my Speed Six engine just blew up" threads on PH at lunchtime and good sense has started to re-assert itself!

When I first bought the S I was doing about 6K a year but my circumstances have changed and now its more like 16K so I'm thinking maybe - something standard and reliable for everyday (not necessarily a beater), and something a little special for the weekends.
I'd also like to do more track days which I fear in the S at present as its my daily driver.

no with the following caveats.
1.When I am 50 and looking back nostalgically I might buy one. Will be tuppence then.
2. If they make a revised version, that can do say 0-60 in <=5 secs, and 1/4 mile in mid 12's. And it isn't just an overstyled version of the current one.

No, I wont be buying another..been there, done that, I'll fancy a change eventually (over three years and counting though). I want a bigger engine with more torque- probably a 350Z coupe or at a push an older 911/M3.

It was just before Christmas that I started to think about it.

Just been talking to someone onsite about something along these lines. One of the IT guys at the site I was on had an S2000 and traded it for a Tuscan S. He kept it for a year, the servicing costs killed him. Along with several 'issues' it had which cost a few quid to fix. He's bought a BM now
