im probably not explaining it very well , but the front AP kit uses a pad like brace/holder that's there to stop pad rattle . It's different to the shims that are used on the back of the pads .

I suspect it was the ARP not quite adjusted properly given your description on the previous page. However, you can confirm this by putting the DS2500s back in - if the rattle doesn't come back, you know it was this, if it does, you know it was the rear pads after all.

as do i
and the fact I have a brand new set of ds2500 pads that might be ok to use !
