Exclamation Differential Upgrade Queries

Hi all,

Been on forums for almost a year, but this is my first post so pardon me, I'll create a full build thread very soon.

I'm GeneralMitch, a young & crazy car enthusiast building a forged and sleeved HX40 S2000 Turbo that I daily.
I've just got the car ran in, and safely boosting (around 350-400hp) waiting to sort out all the niggles before booking Romain.

I had a new OEM LSD in, which I've done around 1200 miles in, and I've just managed to shatter that to pieces.
The factory housing shot out, leaked the majority of oil, got it recovered home, and now I'm considering my options.
I have a spare diff, which should be going back on, as soon as I can get a mobile mechanic to sort it out on my drive.

My question is..
What options do we have as UK guys for reinforcing/upgrading the differentials, specific oils, what mounts etc?

PFA

Or swap it for a stronger one (expensive)

Not sure there are easy options. Was yours high miles?

When you say swap, you mean the internals for e.g. there is a Quaife one on ebay right now..
My one was new OEM with like 1200 miles on it lol.. I drive my car waay too hard.

Could try using a bigger diff casing? Holds more fluid thus better cooling (someone correct me if I'm wrong.) Other option is something from someone like OSGiken, Quaife, Wavetrac.

I mean not an s2000 diff.

Talk to someone like Carl bourbon on Facebook, he was making mounts for a different diff. If you launch it a lot they are fragile, I think the front is a little weak.

carl has a V8 in his but he is not on here much anymore

A puddymod diff imported will cost a packet but cheaper than the above
