Default Can anyone test either of these 2 for me as I live in a field in North Wales

Hi All,

I am looking to buy an S2000 this week and have done some research but live too far away to test drive then go and buy these cars. Does anyone live in the High Wycombe or Peterborough area?

Option 1 - Option 1

Option 2 - Option 2

I will of course buy you a pint when I go to pick the car up

The alternative is to chance it and buy it over the phone and go and collect with my fingers crossed!!

Many Thanks!!

Even just feedback on the prices / conditions would be good?

Option 2 seems more logical in terms of mileage and price, and in fact condition appears to be better as well.

Are you in a rush at the moment?

There might be better options than just those two, You should be able to find a facelift with similar mileage and a hardtop at the price of the second option.

If it was my money, I'd be looking at the facelift one more then the prefacelift as they don't burn oil as much as the earlier cars do. That said, both cars look in pretty good condition for their age.

You really need to take the cars out and drive them yourself before making a purchase - especially if you've never driven one before.

The Silverstone (pre facelift):
'aftermarket exhaust' - could be unberably loud
'upgraded clutch' - probably not true, but it could drive like an on/off switch. Again, down to preference
'upgraded brakes' - look like EBC's. I have them and they're pretty decent

The NRBP (facelift):
Can't see anything untowards, and doesn't look like it has any aftermarket parts. The pics make it look good, but loads of tiny stonechips would make such a dark colour look sh1te. You'd need to have a look at them.

Out of curiosity where is your field in North Wales?

You could always pop along to a NW meet and have a good look at some cars that may help you make up your mind as to pre facelift or facelift before taking the plunge

Thanks chaps. I'm not in a major hurry as I have a daily drive. I was hoping to get a winter bargain but it has been mild and no snow!! Just didn't want to get hit with summer prices.

I have only seen 1 in a showroom and they wouldn't let me drive it!

I live between Mold and Holywell. When and where is the next meet?

I was leaning towards the facelift it's my favorite colour although moonrock is close second.
