Car boot-bag
Has anyone had any experience of these?
http://www.boot-bag.com
I wondered if the bag sitting on the webbing would perhaps move slightly and scuff the paintwork? A cheaper version is to buy my own dry bag
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Quest-White-...ds=dry+bag+75l
and webbing for a couple of quid? My main worry was arriving in Spain to damaged paintwork, any opinions?
Cheers!

We have one which we've used for 2000 miles round the highlands in the p***ing rain and it was fine (I did add some extree neoprene where the straps touch the edges of the boot and I have a large waterproof bag which fits inside just in case). Now we take the spare wheel out for long trips and pack more smartly, but still take the rolled up boot bag in case of purchases !

Interesting idea
Not sure I'd trust the straps not to damage my soft Honda and Aston paint work
Its the edges of the straps over the edges of the boot where the most pressure is and where the most damage is likely as you hurl it round a corner

Great bit of kit, used one on a trip to Germany and it was no problem even at 100+ on the autobahn. If you do the straps up properly, not immediately obvious from the instructions, you can still open the boot with the bag attached. It stayed water tight even in very heavy, persistent rain. My only concern was leaving it attached when at services etc., it would be very easy to slice the straps and leg off with the bag. In summary, very good and highly recommended.

Yeah I was worried about security but we're going on Eurotunnel, so obviously won't leave car, and straight down to Orleans so won't be leaving car unattended, on this trip anyway. I've decided to do my own cheaper (and bigger!) version being a Yorkshireman! I've gone for

The bag is bigger than the car-boot bag and fits nicely on the boot lid and has good reviews, the webbing speaks for itself and I have suitable straps! Sorted!!
Thanks for the replies, I'll let you know when it falls off at 130 kmh!!

Don't know about the one you bought, but the boot bag just unclipped from the straps, so you could chuck it on the front seat easily if you stop at services or the such without having to re thread everything

Don't forget the space that the roof folds into. If you leave the roof up you can get at least 20 litres of wine there. Take a towel to put down first to stop the wine from sliding around.
