Default Car Sold

After seven years and two cars, I'm now a non-owner. In that time I've owned two S2000s; an 02 and an 04. The 02 was a cracker of a car and I loved it dearly, the 04 was a lovely car to drive but ownership was challenging to say the least. But as a sports car and a driving experience I've not come across an equal, in short I've loved every minute of it!

With that in mind I don't plan to try for third time lucky so I'm off to pastures new. The current thinking is to go for a 987 Boxster S; I accept it'll be clinical and less involving but I need to try something else.

During my time as an owner I've met some great people and have made firm friends, the strength of this community both on and off line is exceptional. So thanks to you all and I'll be off to UK Car Talk to join all the others who haven't managed to quite move on yet

Same history as me - 2 S2000's and then a Boxster S. You're right, it is clinical in comparison to the S. Sad to see you out the S but will be better to see you not stood on the hard shoulder every weekend ;-)

Andy - I fully intend to stay involved; Silverstone Classic, Dunsfold and XM at the very least. If we can find some spare seats we'll be along to some of the runs too

BoM - It was a hard decision but I really have had enough of the inside of recovery trucks. I was only one recovery away from having to pay for recoveries!

Nick - I just p155ed myself laughing at that (or is that just a leaky bladder issue??? It's an age thing ) Don't suppose you have the contact numbers for those car owners do you?

Fester - I think that one probably just pips me for artistic merit but I'd like to think I win on difficulty

Maby and Groova - You're both wonderful individuals and I love you dearly
