Default Catalytic Converter Broken up

In the last couple of days I noticed a rattling noise which I thought was a loose heat shield, the rattling got worse yesterday so I dropped in to a Honda garage that was on my journey.

After putting it on the ramps they diagnosed the problem as the catayltic converter and believe that it has broken up inside. The cost of repairing this is

i drove mine for a while until i found a spare one, which i bought from AE, search scrap dealers or FS thread, i am sure there will be one about for about 200 notes or so

I wouldn't drive it if you can help it. If it blocks it could cause some damage.

Berk technology make one for the S2000 and you can fit it yourself or get exhaust centre to fit it for about

there are 2 fairly cheap cats on ebay at the moment

I've Just (finished about 30 mins ago) finished fitting a Berk Technologies High Flow Cat. you can get these from the states for about $250 plus shipping and fit it yourself or take in down to a quick fit.

When I get a chance I'll post more details and opinions, I've driven 2 miles on it so far and I need a long journey to make sure the CEL does not come on.

First impression is a bit louder exhaust but no problems

I am planning on either getting a Berk decat or the high flow cat..

buy them direct from Berk in usa, why bother with a decat when you can get an mot legal free flow cat. they did a back to back test on a heavily tuned civic and the test pipe made 1hp more than the cat that was 7 more than the oem cat
