Default Celtic remap for an s2k..?

Hey all,

thinking of going to view a local s2k that’s up for sale with a few modifications. AP1 2003 car, apparently with a skunk exhaust, aem intake and a “remap to suit exhaust and intake” - which apparently when speaking to the seller is a “Celtic” remap.. he says it has brought the vtec kick-in down, and made the midrange much better.

from my research. You can’t remap a standard ecu unless what he is referring to has been applied via Hondata or similar.
Anyone heard of this before, or able to shed some light?
Thanks in advance!!

haven't heard of oem reflash on s2000 yet. You would need a standalone like AEM V1 or V2 ECU for MY03.

Thanks. Yeah I am aware of Celtic, and I know they don’t do anything for the s2k.

not sure if he’s pulling a fast one or if he is just ill informed. The car looks nice from the ad and low mileage, but if there is a lie about one thing there will be more to uncover no doubt

Thanks!
He says he hasn’t got much paperwork on it. Always dubious when someone says they are meticulous and yet have no evidence to prove it....
but it’s a fair price I think. It needs a new hood though.

both mine need a new hood, jack smiths in swansea will make one for £300 ish i believe.

the key is a healthy motor and no rust, anything else can be fixed easy enough

Doesn't know that much about the S2000 if he has to state it's an AP1.

to be fair lots of people seem to do that on adverts on eBay and pistonheads at least. Maybe he thinks that’s a positive selling point - some folks prefer ap1 vs later cars.
