MIcrosswitch internals can be swapped right over IIRC - its a couple of years since i did mine. Utter knob of a job though, you need baby hands and 3 pairs of them plus an extra elbow

Finally got my problem sorted today! Car went into the auto electrician and he'd found and repaired the problem within half an hour.

Turned out to be a failed joint between a relay and the pcb in the h&p central locking module.

Thanks for the update on this, one of my cars closes but doesn't open. I replaced the entire actuator mechanisms in the doors and it still didn't work, might pull that box apart and have a look

That's exactly how mine started. Luckily my guy repaired the module but I've got one here which is surplus if h&p won't take it back

Hi Rob,

Your issue sounds exactly the same as I am having with my 2002 S2000. Doors will lock with the HP remote (you hear 3 pulses in the door) but when you try and unlock the indicators flash but the doors do not unlock. When you unlock with the key this does not unlock both doors either. Do you have any information on what your auto electrician did? I either need to figure out whether I can do this myself or try and find an auto electrician close to me who might be able to take a look into it for me. Any more info you can provide would be great. I'm assuming the guy who sorted yours does not cover the south!?

Your problem does sound very similar. The issue with mine was with the central locking controller in the drivers footwell. If you remove the sill trim and then the trim panel beside the throttle pedal you'll find a small black plastic box tucked up there. This is the central locking control unit for the H&P alarm and likely where your fault is. My fault turned out to be a failed solder joint between a relay and the PCB.

There are 2 relays inside the controller and you can hopefully diagnose the issue by opening up the box to expose the board and giving the relays a wiggle to see if the remote locking starts working again.

If you run into problems, I've got a H&P central locking controller that I can sell on
