Centre cap refurb idea

I'm getting my wheels refurbed next week and I've done the centre caps already using the speed tape method, they have come up really nice. I used a bottle top from a jar of Tesco peanut butter and a 5mm bolt, nuts and washers for a jig to use for turning the old crap off and for scotchbriting and lacquering the caps.
I'm really proud of the results but I find myself with loads of speed tape left over. I'm considering cutting it into bits and selling it on here as packs of six bits (to allow for a couple of cock ups) If interested what would you guys consider a fair price including postage and DVD sleeves?

I used a dremel sander to remove the threaded area inside the lid

I will add extra info to this thread if there's any interest.

Red? "Speed tape?" Curious about both.

Ideally you need a jig / press for reforming new round aluminum discs over the original plastic caps ( once you've removed the tatty existing covers). The problem is that they rot from both the inside and the outside.

Good work though - if yours aren't far enough gone to need replacement.

The red logos come from a guy in the UK called Sticker Dude. stick them over the speed tape and use acrylic lacquer to fix it down.

Forget the original "milk bottle tops" this stuff is far better sticks like stuff to a blanket and you can use the sander attachment to get shot of the original, although the facelift version is easier to get off.

Very nice job  (although I prefer crunchy peanut butter myself ;) ).

Looking good

Would be interested to know a bit more about the process if you have the time to do a how to

+1.

I've found various threads scattered about the forums but none really explains the process comprehensively from start to finish, with pics. Particularly this method using 'speed tape'.

I used that air duct foil tape on mine, plus black stickers from StickerDude on ebay. As it was an experiment I didn't want to mess up the originals, so I bought some really cheap plastic Mercedes caps off ebay that were 'almost' the exact size.
For my 'spinner' I used a hole saw!
