Message for Smudge 291, not sure if my PM's are working right (or I'm using them right!) but I posted your speed tape this morning, used a DVD/CD mailer so should be safe!

I had a crack at this last week - here are the steps I followed plus the end result -
Total cost was about £6 - a little less than £180 for a set of Honda replacements!

Here are my old centre caps with a '1m sample' of aluminium ducting tape from eBay
(https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CELOTEX-A...M/201947858449)
I levered the old badges off the grey plastic caps from behind with a small flat-head screwdriver
A quick clean with kitchen towel is all I did to prepare them for the new aluminium foil / tape
I used a coffee mug to draw a circle, slightly bigger than the centre cap, on the aluminium foil backing paper
Cut around the drawn circle, peel off the backing paper, stick 'em on, bend the edges around the back of the cap and trim off excess foil
This picture shows an old badge, a foil circle ready to be stuck on a cleaned cap and a completed cap waiting for a Honda decal from StickerDude

Before...
After...
I did use an abrasive pad plus power tool in a clamp to add the circular brushed effect before applying the stickers (should have done more, as effect is hardly visible)
I also applied 3 quick coats of spray laquer to help protect the stickers (as I happened to find some in the garage...)

Hi all, giving this a go and practising applying the foil tape on some aerosol lids but for the life of me I can't get it applied without creases, especially around the curved edge. Any tips? Maybe I've bought poor quality tape, how easy did others find it?
