To charge or not to charge , that is the question !

Personally, I'd stay N/A with the low mileage on your car. If you want extra performance but without the huge outlay, why not pick up a second hand diff and get a 4.77 final drive built into it? Would give you a good jump in performance and if you kept the original diff it should be fairly easy to reverse.
If you NEED a supercharged car, buy that beautiful midnight purple car in the FS section. That way, you'll get a cracking car but the initial outlay and leg work has been done.

The only things I miss about NA are the intake roar (I had a K&N FIPK) and the throttle response, although I've done a couple of things to improve that.

8-5 .......
I'll have to make a decision by the 31st of this month as that's when the tts group buy finishes.
I really do like the s2k ( this is my 2nd) but just have a hunger for a 'bit more'
bugdet of 35k .... what would you replace it with ?

shame to modify a nice low mileage example - sell it to me! (I am seriously looking now my Elise has been sold) and buy a converted one.

I think you would ruin the essential DNA of the S2000, in standard form certainly they are not that fast. If you want a faster car buy a different car, trying to turn the S2000 into something else (to me) goes against the grain.
A standard (ish) S2000 is a great fun car, will you have more fun in a boosted S ?
Edited to add, if I had 35K budget I would get a Cayman all day long (as I know you have been thinking off)

For me, the 'essential DNA' is high revving (and power high in the band), the gear shift, the handling and the simplicity. None of those are lost with a SC (well, some of the simplicity in the engine department). I've found it's just a NA S, amplified.

I have been looking at caymans and boxsters ...... only on autotrader . For a nice 981 Cayman they seem to still be 40k+ , so I'd be looking at the 981 boxster s , which look to be in my budget of around 32-35k . To be honest I'd never thought I'd be looking at the boxster over the Cayman ( money aside that is ) but in the s2000 I have absolutely loved the top down driving and not sure I'd like to give that up.
Anyway , good points and things to think about .

With that mileage - keep it as OEM as possible!
