I had had a CTEK comfort charge extension wired to the inside of the car. For me, much easier than opening the bonnet every time.

The RAC one i have connects via the OBD port - the only caveat is that it must be disconnected before turning on the ingnition - i have one for the S2000 and one for the Aygo. Handy when they stand for weeks at a time.
