It will do fine!

Just keep folding it over every few minutes to expose "clean" clay!

Get something on to protect it all after as well!

I gave the insides of my wheels a clean today. Qite a few tar spots, shifted very easily with WD40.

The problem is the clay bar can start acting as a sponge as you are folding in the detailer, and then it becomes useless. You need to dab it with a towel before you fold it.

Note there are 3 sorts of clay out there, 2 made in Japan - the crumbly grey stuff (Megs etc) and the blue stuff (Race Glaze etc), plus the Swissol stuff which is more elastic and yellow (presumably made in Switzerland).

I understand that the crumbly stuff won't last as long.

When its no good for bodywork reserve it for your wheels.

For lubricant you could use water with the clay bar... worked with the yellow one, not tried the blue or crumbly stuff...

There's also different levels of aggresiveness, some are not recommended for clearcoat.

Cam someone recommend me a clay bar + lube pack that suits the S2000s finish. Its a 2003 car and the paint is generally good so it doesn't need something totally aggressive!

Yep, I have used the Meguiar's Clay Bar which comes with a bottle of Quik Detailer for years now on 5 different cars (black, silver, yellow) and its been excellent.

I will do the whole car once a year and the front bumper 3 or 4 times a year. If I get tar spots I will use when required. I actually wash, polish and QD my car so much that I doubt it will need to be fully clayed in the next 2 years.

Try the following websites or buy from Halfords:

www.seriousperformance.co.uk
www.cleanandshiney.co.uk
www.polishedbliss.co.uk

Cheers
