I had blockage once - I could hear water sloshing in the sills under the doors. I found that mud etc over time builds up on a shelf in the rear wheel arch. This build up blocks the drain outlet. You can't quite see the shelf without taking the wheel off. But you don't need to. Just use a pressure washer and spray off the mud. The wheel arch is divided in two parts and you need to spray behind the divider. No need to clear the drains IMHO.

I suspect sticking a brush or similar may dislodge the tube, check wheel arch is clean, pour water into the top and watch for it running onto the road.?

Same here, I'd hear a weak sloshing noise behind my right side several times, in the end I put the roof down, got a thin flexible section of plastic tube, found the drain hole (which is placed at the front of each drain) poured warm water into it and within seconds a stream came running down inside, both drains had shite/pine needles et al collected in them. Now clean as a whistle ;-) to add, if you use a long enough piece of tube, you'll see it clearly exiting inside the front arch.
