Default Clutch Options

Mine's started to slip, noticed that OEM Honda clutches now cost around £400 these days! I remember paying £250 for one on my old car a few years ago

Are there any alternatives you can recommend, I saw an RPC Carbon Kevlar stage 1 kit for £200 on Tegiwa, I don't really need anything greater than OEM, but don't want to spend double the money on it either

A few nasty stories about the RPC items:

An extra £150 over 100k+miles isn't a significant difference, really.

Better to stay away from those, I suppose the old adage is true as ever: buy cheap; buy twice

Flybikeslee has an Exedy OEM clutch available in the for sale section - are the OEM Honda clutches made by Exedy?

OEM clutch is made by FCC, do not get "OEM" Exedy or any other crap (yes they are crap).
You don't really need to change the pressure plate so you could save some money there.
Search around some and you could save even more.
Here is part numbers for needed parts:
22200-PCX-055 Disk, Friction
22810-PCY-003 Bearing, Clutch Release
21103-PCY-003 Guide, Release Bearing
08798-9002 Grease, Urea

Here is a big tip on a super cheap OEM release bearing https://www.akr-performance.com/p/ho...-22810-PCY-003
I got one from them myself and saved £120 just on that.

Hi Flanders,

Was the release bearing from AKR-Performance actually OEM, with all OEM numbers stamped on it?
It looks like the price is too good to be true. Hope it is not!

The plastic bag it came in was not the usual Honda one but Nachi bearings and everything identical to the stock one I took out from my car.
I also did ask them before ordering and they confirmed it was a genuine Honda part.
Maybe they ordered them at a super low price a long time ago and haven't updated the price, go ahead and order the last one because I'm pretty sure it will go up significantly.
