There are quite a few negative comments about RPC on the forum in general (admittedly mostly stage 1). Have a search and you will see.

S2KIP: The only reason to consider one (other than going FI as mentioned above) is cost. £168/£228/276 for RPC stage 1/2/3 vs £345 for OEM.

Regarding the Stage 2, it seems a big risk to take for the sake of £117.

I've gone for a Comp Clutch stage 2, cost me £359 from memory and Performance Autoworks have quoted £360 to fit. I would have gone OEM however I am tempted to supercharge my car so I figured I may as well get an uprated clutch should I decide on that route.

There is no mention of RPC stage 2 in this thread hence my confusion. But as you say they are well reported to being poor so I don't understand why someone would read that and still opt for one.

Tom at TGM did a very very good price for supply and fitting an OEM clutch. Worth a call IMO
