Coil Pack Cover Bolts Have Dropped Out

I noticed this morning that all of the bolts that hold the pack on have dropped out. I am sure that they can be sourced without going to a stealer.

Anyone know what size they are?

TIA

Haroon

They are M6 X 18 Cap screws - I got mine from Stagonset but they are not taking orders at the moment

The closest I got was M6 x 20 and not many places sell individuals.

Otherwise it's Honda PN is 96600-06018-07 :)

How the hell did they drop out? :yikes:

They can come loose from vibration, bit of weak threadlock goes down a treat :)

Also come loose if you have had the rockercover powdercoated - mine took 2 or 3 attempts at tightening them before they held secure - suprising how tight they have to be to stay in place.

Cheers Chris....I'll be using thread lock on them this time

Not too much otherwise you won't get the bolts out next time you need to.

Use blue loctite and you will be fine, just dont go using red!

When I fitted my powder coated coil cover recently I used stainless steel cap-headed setscrews which I obtained on-line from Namrick. Their site is easy to use, and you can buy items individually. I bought a of selection of setscrews and washers to replace any which were showing signs of rusting in the engine bay.

Hi Loon, :hello:

FYI the screws I bought online from Namrick were M6 x 16 Socket Cap Head Screws (in A2 Stainless Steel), and they cost 12p each, not including shipping (which varies depending on how many items you are buying), and VAT.
