compliance bush orientation?
hi all,
part way through a major overhaul of the suspension system - but im having a little difficulty... The old compliance bushes were in such poor condition that the inner rubber had parted with the the outer sleeve (thus meaning that i could not mark the orientation of the old bush) I've got hold of a pair of new spoon comp bushes but im unsure as to how to position them? There is a yellow dot on one side only - what's it significance? There are two arrows on the top and two on the bottom ( i gather these are supposed to match up with the scribe marks you make when removing the old bushes - but as i hinted, it was not possible to mark where the old ones sat... http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...2072009057.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...2072009058.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...2072009059.jpg Looking at a pic i've found on here, I can see how the stock bush sits - can i press the new one in as per this pic (circled in red) you can just make out is positioning http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...MG_2482JPG.jpg I've got the back end to rebuild tonight, so that will keep me busy but any advice is greatly appreciated. |

No problem, I had exactly the same problem. Took the old ones out before I realised! :)
