I've already arranged to get a couple of small dents, paint chips and scratches repaired but now I've found an old repair to the hood (Powerwashed it this afternoon and must have blown out an old repair); the rip (approx. 1 cm) looks like it will be easy to hide again but the patch around it is really shiney.

Has anyone had to have a repair done or hood replaced - I want my car to be as new and little imperfections just "Do my head in".

If anyone has can you let me know where you had the work done and how much it cost.

I've tried a local trimmer who says he will have to make the hood himself but I can pick the cloth and colour (not looking forward to this quote) and I'm off to see a hood specialist tomorrow - I may seem paranoid but I love the car to bits (maybe this is the wrong word to use).

The hood is available as a part from Honda. I had mine replaced under warranty because it had started to crack on the folds.

the guy who started a thread on breaking an S2000 had a black hood for sale. he wanted 500 quid, he might still have it

Met up with a guy who runs his own Convertible Hood Specialists firm today and he was very helpful, not the cheapest but quality counts.

If any one is in need of repairs or advise he seems to be the guy in the Coventry Area to call upon and would be interested in coming along for the Supermeet.

PM me if you want info. - I'll let you know how I get on with him as I'm currently opting for the replacement route.
