You get no mayo if there's no breach in the gasket between the water jacket & the oil galley!

It's the 11.something-to-one compression ratio that pressurises the cooling system, if there's a cylinder ring to water jacket breach.

Well, you certainly need to clean it up if you've a hope in hell of diagnosing it.

Best way's to shoot it down yer dealer for a compression test, cooling system pressure test and (as above) dye in the coolant test.

It could just be a leaky hose, but they can be buggers to locate, too!
