Default Coolant temp probs

Ok guys,as mentioned I'm having probs with coolant temps on my turbo s2000,it's been a while since I have driven it,so struggling to remember exact symptoms.but from what I can remember and my dad, these are most of them.

.from cold it takes ages to warm up,well the temp gauge warms up normal, but it blows cold air from heaters.

.if heaters are turned on cold the temps are fine.heater matrix bypassed.

.when the engine is warm and I switch it off, then go back to it 5 min later it won't start, just turns over, leave it a few hours and it will fire up straight away.

.it doesn't loose any coolant.

I will take the car out for a run on the next dry day,but from what I can gather its air locking in the heater matrix.
All other suggestions appreciated.

Is your setup/turbo water cooled?

Sounds like air lock - have you bled it properly and also from the bleed nipple by the manifold?

Checked thermostat / coolant temp sensor.

Aftermarket ECU set up correctly?

You have air trapped in the system 100%. If the heater does not blow hot on the highest fan setting then do not drive the car until it has, check out the thread by Billman in the UTH section on the US side of the site

But that's the thing,it takes ages until it does start blowing hot,but yeah it is an airlock but not sure why it's there,as we have bled the system loads of times and Chris did it a fair few times.
I'm gonna take it for a spin on Sunday and see what the car does, then I will have another go at bleeding and checking thermostat etc

Bleed it with the front of the car jacked up slightly - use the bleed near the inlet manifold.

Are you sure your water pump is working properly / belt on correctly etc?

Also have you checked the little valve is operating correctly in the coolant to heater matrix hose?

As planned I made a start on the coolant issue, started car up and it got upto temp(8 bars) pretty quick.heaters on full and it was blowing out hot air.as I was pulling up the drive they started getting colder:-(
So I loosened the bleed nipple and a bit of air came out, repeated until it was just coolant.whent for a drive(8-10mile)and all seems fine, even gave it some stick and the temp gauge didn't budge(8 bars)

I'm hoping it's sorted(fingers crossed))

Oh and thanks for the suggestions lads.

Mmm just being out in it again, the temp gauge doesn't budge-just sits at 8 bars, even when I pulled into the drive and the fans came on.i did see it move up one bar when I was sat in traffic, but soon dropped when started moving,
For some reason I'm not convinced it's sorted :-(
