They look like they might work - but bear in mind you will be the guinea pig if you go ahead with them.

They look quite wide at the shoulder as well, which might foul the door.

Your best bet is to find someone with aftermarket seats and take some measurements from theirs in relation to the rails, then measure a Corbeau in the shop if you can.

Whereabouts are you? You're welcome to measure mine if you're nearby.

In mine by they way those sports seats you show very likely won't fit.

Sorry for dragging up an old(ish) thread up.

Sam G - I believe you went ahead and bought and fitted one of these?

Do the shoulders block access to the centre console glove box / any problems in general with them fitting?

Also, do you have a pic of the seat fitted at all?

Cheers!

Yes, it blocks the centre console from opening. But you can just slide the seat forward a bit to gain access to anything inside. I used buddyclub rails. I've spoken to someone who managed to get the supplied rails working, but it required fab-work and sat higher than stock. Buddy club/Tegiwa rails just bolt in.

With the buddy clubs I bolted into the side mounts at the lowest hole at the back, and 2nd lowest hole at the front. If you run into any trouble with fitting, there is adjustability there still. This gives a nice tilt to the seat, and allows you to *just* get enough room for the slider rail to work. Also, you can use the seat buckle from the stock seat on the rail mountings.

Trimming - I'm about 5"9, so although the seat would slide back it would get 'squeezed' a little on the RHS, and would sound sqeaky when it rubbed. I just pulled back the material on the shoulder, and cut maybe 5mm off to make it fit a little better. You wouldn't know unless you pulled back the material again to see it.

This was the seat just before I trimmed the RHS a little. Corbeau Club Sport Seats-cj4eyeb.jpg

Fantastic - thanks for this Sam, seat looks good in the car.

When you trimmed 5mm off the shoulder, did that allow the seat to go all the way back?

I've been looking at these seats myself and that just confirms that they're spot on for the job. I may well alter the shell on the inside so it clears the centre console box.

Given the shell is GRP, could it be heated and bent, or is that a stupid idea?!

On second thoughts, as a seat is a piece of safety equipment, altering the shell in any way is almost certainly illegal and could also be very dangerous in the event of accident.

Hi sorry to bump an older thread, but again I'm looking at the same seat for my car.

Samg1998 - did you purchase the xl version or just the normal?
Do you sit alot lower than the stock seat?
Does it go back to the same position as stock?

It's just I'm looking to find a lower seat than stock as I'm too lanky for my car! But I cannot have it sit further forward than stock or my legs will cramp!

Any more information would be amazingly helpful!

Thanks alot
