Aaah okay, I'm with you now.

The F1 Spec rails are identical in every way to the M2 / Tegiwa / Buddy Club rails; but, F1 Spec also off a lower down bracket... this one:

Only thing with these brackets is that you may struggle with clearance of the rear-bottom of the seat on the rail itself and loosing a lot of left / right movement, or whether the lower brackets will accommodate the width of the XL seat at all; I'm not convinced they'd work.

I'll have a look for some pics to illustrate what I mean...

I'd be pretty sure that they would work with the standard width seat though.

Re-drilling the existing brackets; could do, but not sure if there is enough room to maneuver with them.

How much room is there under the seat? Do you have a hardtop, could you measure from the seat cushion at the back where it meets the upright to the roof? I'm just wondering how much extra room these give.

It's dropped my eye-line by about an inch.

With a thinner cushion it's about 1.5 inches, but I only use that on track days.

I don't have a hard-top I'm afraid.

There is actually a bit of clearance under the seat, so if going for a standard width, you could get those lower F1 brackets for sure.

Just trying to get my head around how much extra room there is to be had, I've got a corbeau bottom mount seat in at the minute on a buddy club rail and it is not much lower than the standard seat although I do sit a bit lower with the cushion removed. If I went for the clubsport would the base of the seat fit between the rails allowing the base of the seat to sit closer to the floor?

As it stands at the moment it looks like the adjustment levers may foul the base of the seat or the seat may prevent the slider rail from being adjusted.

The seat does sit in-between the rails at the back, so I would be fairly certain that a side-mounted seat will be lower and than an under-mounted seat.

With the custion completely removed, my arse is on the floor!

Great write up Rhauri,

With the new seat belt buckles did they have the plug for the warning light and buzzer or did you get around it some other way?

Is it a case of joining the wires together to trick it or is it a switch in the standard buckle rather then just completing the circuit,

Thanks,

Phil.

Hey Phil,

I bought two passenger side Civic belt clips, purposefully.

I unplugged the cable from my OEM seats anyway as that irritating beep did my head in and I don't need a reminder to put my seat belt on - its habitual.

Doesn't cause any MOT issues as the system just defaults as if you have plugged the seat-belt in.

Hope that helps!
